To write well, all you have to do is start writing. You'll improve with the time.
I believe this is the only way you can write well.
Start reading some books on writing. See writing is a craft. So you must practice it at every day, every night to get better at it. And it's good to steal from the masters of the craft. 'Bird by Bird' by Anne Lamott is a good book to start with. Then, you can read 'On Writing' by Stephen King.
Read as much as you can (at least one book a month). Read books of different genres. Fiction, non-fiction, autobiographies, short stories, taste everything. The more you'll read, the different formats of writing you'll dig into, the better write you're likely to become.
Writing an hour. Do this from this very day. Devote just one hour a day sharpening your writing. Start a blog on Blogspot. Start writing a diary. Start writing a book. Do whatever you want to do, but start giving one hour to your craft. In a matter of few months, you'll begin to see magic creeping in your words, in your writing style.
Editing is the key. I never edit my work when I am writing or after I am finished. I usually take a couple of hours to get back to what I have written. If possible, I like to edit my work the next day. This delay helps me see my work in a different light and I find myself editing my work better.
